Miley Cyrus supports Vanessa Hudgens  September 13, 2007

Miley Cyrus, star of Disney’s “Hannah Montana” series, has just given her support for beleaguered “High School Musical” star Vanessa Hudgens. The latter is in hot waters after her nude photos were leaked into the internet last week. She has since then apologized but still received lots of criticisms about her “unbecoming” behavior. But Miley isn’t one of her critics. In fact, the singer-actress declared publicly her support for Vanessa. Miley told E! News at the Creative Arts Emmys last Saturday that, “It's everywhere (the photos), but the thing is ... mistakes happen and I'm just happy I can be there for her as a friend, which is what she needs more than anything.” Vanessa’s lucky to have you as her friend Miley! A friend in need is a friend indeed =)

Even Miley’s dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, offered his support for Vanessa. “People are going to make mistakes and when you make one you just gotta re-adjust and re-group and go back to life,” he counseled. “That's what life is all about.” Great advice dad! Err, Mr. Cyrus!

Disney stars are certainly very busy these days, doing concert tours and making shows. One of Disney’s busiest stars is Miley Cyrus who is set to go on tour this coming fall. Her latest album has soared to the top of the billboard charts and sold over 1.1 million copies. The success of Miley’s album prompted the mounting of her show entitled “The Best of Both Worlds” which is scheduled to have 54 stops. What sets Miley’s show apart from all the others is that Miley will be performing as herself and as Hannah Montana, her Disney alter-ego. It’s the first time for the teen star to do this, and people are quite excited about it. According to the tour promoter, "It’s pretty exciting. It’s very fast-selling. She could go around the country for two years and not meet the demand. There is that much pressure from the public for tickets.” Sounds great huh? In fact, tickets for the first 17 dates immediately sold out upon release. So if you wanna see Miley and Hanna perform, watch out for the tickets that will go on sale starting September 15. We’re sure it wouldn’t last long so better grab one early!
